Description
Chilli Con Carne
Ingredients
- 1 Onion Finely Chopped
- Mince
- 1 can chopped tomatoes
- 1/4 jar Passata
- Chilli Seasoning (Either powder or frozen)
- Garlic Seasoning (Either powder or frozen)
- 280g Rice
- 500ml water
- Spray Oil
- 1 stock cube (Beef or Turkey based on the mince)
- 1-2 Carrot(s) Sliced
- Kidney Beans (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat large pan after spraying lightly with spray oil
- Fry off onion until soft
- Add Mince and brown (about 5-10 minutes). Be sure to keep it moving so it does not stick
- Add 1 can chopped tomatoes and the Passata
- Add some Chilli and Garlic seasoning
- Add stock cube (break up cube first) and stir well.
- Bring to the boil and reduce heat to simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- For the last 10 minutes of simmering, steam the Rice in the Microwave Rice Cooker with the water for 10-12 minutes or until the water is all gone.
